Halite on Trona Mineral Specimen

These beautiful Pink Halite clusters are mined once a year from the dry bed of Owens Lake in California. It exhibits an isometric crystal system, a transparent to translucent transparency, a brittle tenacity, a vitreous luster, and a hardness of only 2-2.5 on the Mohs scale. As these are soluble in water, it is recommended to keep them dry.
